Over the top was founded in queenstown, new zealand in 1986 to provide visitors from all over the world with a unique opportunity to explore remote areas normally inaccessible.

The essence of our company is about the people and stories of our region as we drop in on some distinctive New Zealand characters in many of our excursions including farmers, whitebaiters, viticulturists, eco guides, chefs and artists.

Best experience of my life. We did the Milford sound flight with a landing in the mountains. Dave was an amazing guide, landing spot in the mountains was fantastic. Most beautiful glaciers I’ve ever seen, and we were right next to them! The helicopter flight was much better than the actual boat ride which was a bit crowded and touristy, but still fun with great views. Make sure to check the weather forecast ahead of time and plan your trip to prioritize the weather for this activity, about 40% of heli flights to Milford Sound are cancelled for weather (50% of plane flights).
